Six Miles at Percy Warner Park with Robin Satyshur

A few Fridays ago, I drove from Dayton to Nashville to meet Robin Satyshur for a 6-mile hike at Percy Warner Park. We called this Dialogue Miles™ experience “The Secrets of the Forest.” A conversation about life, business, and the opportunities ahead.

As we moved through the trails, something stood out right away. We did not plan it, but we aligned in pace.

A Few Things That Stayed with Me

  • Pace and Alignment
Robin moves with energy and intention. Without discussing it, we found the same rhythm.

  • Share what matters
Our first walk led us to a bench dedicated to Robin’s father, a guiding force in her life.

  • Boutique Advisory Partnerships
Building something small does not mean doing it by yourself. Trusted partnerships matter.

  • Referrals create the right connections
The best relationships often come through others who see the fit before you do. In this case, Jonathan Flack made the introduction.

  • Get to what matters
Staying at the surface limits the conversation. The real impact comes from going deeper.

  • Advice goes both ways
Seeking and giving advice both require honesty, vulnerability, and discernment.

  • Helping others helps us
Mutual support strengthens both the relationship and the outcome.

  • New friendships are always possible
At any stage. Built on trust, safety, respect, shared purpose, belief, empathy, and a good laugh.

As we walked in the comfort and serenity of the park, Robin noted that by creating a safe environment, we were able to have a candid and heartfelt dialogue. She reaffirmed the foundational principle of siY: Be Safe. Be Inspired. Be YOU.
