Dialogue Miles™ at Office Evolution Nashville with Mike Patenaude
What an incredible morning we had last week at Office Evolution Greater Nashville! A huge thanks to Mike Patenaude for making this event happen, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Before the event officially kicked off, Mike and I had the chance to get a head start with an early walk, setting the tone for an energizing event. We had 10 amazing people join and pair up for Dialogue Miles™ walks.
A special thank you to Jon Churchwell for a powerful walk and conversation. We discussed the importance of non-transactional investments in others, how to build genuine relationships, and the strength of vulnerability, being open and sharing who we truly are. These themes tied together beautifully and were a perfect reminder of how we can all give back during Mental Health Month.
Takeaways from the Morning
Curiosity opens the door.
A simple question and a willingness to listen can quickly reveal what matters to someone.Connection does not require complexity.
A walk, a conversation, and a little intention go a long way.Good ideas need repetition.
Human connection is not one-and-done.Old ideas still work.
Meeting in a coffee room is not outdated. It is effective.Environment matters.
A great BBQ lunch and a few smiles can shift the entire tone of a day.Sometimes timing just works.
We just missed the rain.
As a result, we’re already planning follow-up walks with some of the people we met today, and someone even suggested we make morning walks at Office Evolution a regular thing.
Today was a great success, and I’m excited to continue walking, talking, and building deeper connections with wicked awesome people. An additional thanks to members Michael Braun, Sidonie Summers, John Sweeney, Dylan Jones, Melissa Pepper, and Will Panagakos for your participation!
