Trust the Process: A Walk with Savannah Baurichter

Savannah Baurichter and I first met at the suggestion of my close friend Douglas Fecher former CEO of WPCU.

Over the last several months we have met as part of a mentoring process working on real-life challenges, highlighting dreams for the future, and creating plans of impact.

Recently, we chose to take a 4.5-mile walk together in Liberty Township as part of my Dialogue Miles™ journey.

As I reflect on our conversation, here are some impactful themes I’d like to share:

Reflections

  • Trust the Process
Learn to trust the process and that everything will come in due time. As Savannah says, “Soak up what you can while in your current role to prepare for the next”.

  • Communicate Clearly
Over-communicating expectations removes confusion and creates alignment.

  • Be Open to Mentorship
Mentoring requires transparency along with a willingness to receive and apply feedback.

  • Change the Environment
Energy levels change when you leave the coffee cup back at the hotel and move together in nature.
